For the first since its inception Open Recital #28, held at the Recital Hall in the Institute of Music, UCSI University, featured two pianos which allowed for pieces like the Mozart Sonata in D Major, KV 448, to be performed. It also showcased the largest group to have performed at Open Recital: a 12-piece trombone-tuba ensemble from the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) in Tanjong Malim.
