Founded in May 2013, the Classical Music Asia’s CMA Recitals provides a regular open performance platform for all classical music students.

CMA Recitals is open to all students and professional musicians regardless of age, grade, teacher and instrument.

CMA Recitals aims to provide classical music students with the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience in order to gain experience and build confidence in their performing skills.

Since its inception, hundreds of students, and even some professional musicians, have played at CMA Recitals and many have used it as a practice run for their auditions, competitions or exams.

Held once a month at venues that have included a café in Mont Kiara, a private studio in Puchong, a music school in Mont Kiara, UCSI University’s Institute of Music, and Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park; CMA Recitals is currently being hosted by the British International School of Kuala Lumpur.

Soloists and all forms of ensembles playing classical music are welcome to perform. Everyone else is welcome to come along and watch.

While primarily an ongoing labour of love, there is now a minimum donation of RM50 for each performing slot at CMA Recitals. However, it is still free to watch.

If you or someone you know would like to perform at CMA Recitals, please get in touch by sending a WhatsApp message to Dennis at 010 231 2845.
